i did Crystal at school, trying to make her look like a faerie but she kept squinching her eyes up

i have some full faces just cause i don't have that many good pictures of it... haha i never put full faces up.

This i did with only eyeliner. && some shimmer powder. i was just messing around, trying to make a Lady Gaga some time of thing.

So for school, i'm going to Chicago in March, but not with the school cause it's cheaper to go by myself. We're going to America's Beauty Show. i'm excited, but don't really know what to expect. The girls who went last year said there were a lot of demonstrations, samples, you can buy a lot of stuff... but i have to go by myself cause you have to be in school or certified... so that sucks. We also have a thing in February, a fashion show type thing i'ma do the makeup for. i graduate in June, so i'll be moving to Chicago and hopefully find something to do with makeup.

Trying some new things, and an awesome pallette

So i was really tempted to buy this at the Walgreens i work at but i kept waiting and then we ran out... so i didn't really think about it until this girl at school brought it in and it was amazing. i had to run out to a different store and buy it. For a ten dollar pallete, it has some really amazing colors.

Those colors were not from the pallete, those were from my shopping trip to Sephora... i spent too much those colors are Makeup Forever.

The sun ruined most of these pictures. i don't really remember what i was going for anyway.

School is going pretty awesome, i love being in a class full of people all interested in the same thing and who understand why makeup is such an obsession xD i get so much inspiration. We're also gonna do my brows finally when we get into waxing, so everyone here can be happy bout that, no more nasty brows in the pictures. And i'm working on my liner, slowly... might try some gel liner since i can't use liquid.

So i started school on Wednesday. We did absolutely nothing... but i got my kit. So much stuff, but the most important thing was the makeup kit. Ofra? i've never heard of it but then again i buy the cheap shit cause i'm poor. Haha. i'm so excited to start i guess next week i can start taking appointments for facials and wraps? i also applied for a counter job at Younkers, so we'll see.

Second look i used two pigments from Hot Topic haha Cupcake or something... that's the blue and the pink. The purple is HIP pigment.

The second one is MAC beauty marked and illegal Cargo, Milani shock and enchantment, and Victoria Secret no strings.

The point of this blog is to try to show some of the things i've done with makeup, but i'm still a little scared cause it's not that great xD i've kinda slacked off with it in the past year or so. i've been doing makeup since i was fourteen, but really got into it around sixteen. i love bright colors, patterns, messing with the shape of the eye shadow, and playing with lines and angles. i have tons of pictures, some from as far as five years ago, but my laptop died last month and they're gone xD i'm trying to get some loaded onto my boyfriend's computer, which is what i have to use now.

Tomorrow is my registration day for La'James. Everyone has been telling me it's dumb to go, that you don't really need school to do makeup. i agree, i know that there's not much they can teach me that i can't get better with practice. But for one, i want to get my basics perfected and then maybe i'll get better at the more creative stuff i love to do. Also, having an Esthetics degree will get me a job that is not cashiering at Walgreens.

i really want to do freelance makeup artistry, or work for some kind of company. Just don't know what yet.
